How It's Made:
100% Pure Argan Oil
We take pride in our argan oil process which supports women of Morocco and sustainable practices.
Our rare and precious 100% Pure Argan Oil is harvested in a UNESCO-protected region of Morocco in the purest, most traditional way possible. Indigenous Berber women ride donkeys up the mountain to collect the nuts furthest from the goats at the bottom of the mountain, as those Argan nuts are of lesser quality.
After the women reach the top, they gather only the most exceptional nuts closest to the ancient Argan trees.
We have always been committed to supporting women-led co-ops. The hardworking women in this region have been making Argan Oil this way for centuries and are experts at what they do. After filling their baskets, they return to the production facility to continue the unique Argan Oil process.
When the gatherers return, a different group of women selects and weighs the finest nuts, keeping their unused shells for future sustainable projects. Fun fact: It takes 150 Argan nuts to make a 1.7 oz bottle!
Next, the women skillfully hand-crack each and every nut the old-fashioned way using rocks(!) then cold-press the kernels to produce the highest-grade Argan Oil in the world.
From there, it goes through an innovative charcoal filtration system not once, but twice —collecting debris while converting the oil into its purest, most glorious form, before getting pumped into 950-gallon storage containers.
To limit fossil-fuel emissions, our Argan Oil travels by boat to the U.S., then by train to California, and finally, to our bottling facility in Los Angeles.
The end result is unlike any other organic Argan Oil on the market! Juicy and joyful. Golden and glowing. Nutty and aromatic. A single-ingredient multitasker with natural anti-aging nutrients and rich fatty acids that can be used head-to-toe.
And finally, it’s your turn to discover this liquid gold with Argan Oil-powered results. Enjoy!
