Orders

How do I place an order online?

It's easy! When you see a product that you'd like to order, click on the big "add to bag" button. This should send you directly to "Your Bag” page. If you have a promo code, enter this in the “Promo Code” field near the bottom of the bag page. After updating the product quantity or coupon code, click the “checkout” button below the grand total. The next page will take you to the “Secure Checkout” page. At this point, you’re able to checkout as a guest or register an account. We recommend registering as this will make it so much easier the next time you shop because you won't have to re-enter all your info. It also makes it easier to log in and check on your order status.

Checkout is pretty self-explanatory. Enter the appropriate information in the fields provided. If the shipping address is the same as the billing, click the “I also want to ship to this address” button above the “bill & ship to this address” button. After selecting the appropriate shipping method, click the “Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express” field or the PayPal option. These are below the “How Would You Like to Pay?” Then hit the “proceed to payment” button.

Enter the appropriate credit card or PayPal information, then hit the “pay for order” button. If the order is able to process, it will take you to a confirmation page.

You're done! Once your order is placed, you will receive an email confirming the details of your purchase. Once the order is fulfilled, you will receive another email with your tracking information.

Do you accept international orders?

We can currently accept orders that are billed and shipped to locations in the United States (includes P.O. Boxes, and U.S. Territories) and Canada. We regret that we are unable to ship to other international addresses and apologize for any inconvenience.

Please note: For orders shipped to Canada any applicable duties, tariffs or other fees will be the responsibility of the customer.

How do I check on an order I have placed?

If you have a JosieMaran.com account, you can view the status of an order by logging in to your account and selecting Order History. You will also receive an email confirming the details of your purchase once your order is placed, and again once your order is fulfilled.

How quickly is my order processed?

Orders are typically processed within 48-hours of receipt and during normal business hours. Orders placed on Friday after 12pm PST, and on weekends will be processed the following business day. Please allow an additional 1 to 2 business days for orders to be processed during the holidays and other busy sales periods.

Please note: All purchases are subject to bank authorization prior to processing. Only authorized purchases may be processed and shipped.

How do I use a promo code?

If you sign up for our email newsletter or "like" us on Facebook you'll start receiving some fun perks, like the occasional promo code for a limited-time discount on select items. To use a code, simply enter it during checkout.

Only one promo code is allowed per order, so if you have 2 codes you'd like to use, pick the one that gives you the best deal.

Sorry, promo codes won't work on our Good Buys, which are already crazily discounted. Promo codes cannot be applied to past purchases and there are no rainchecks on out-of-stock items.

Do you charge sales tax?

We are required by law to collect sales tax on orders being shipped to addresses inside certain states within the United States and certain regions within Canada.

What are my payment options?

We accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, PayPal, Apple Pay, Shop Pay and AfterPay. For more information on AfterPay Installments click here. Unfortunately, we cannot accept CODs, personal checks, money orders, credit cards with billing address outside the United States, credit card gift cards, or layaway.Please note: For your security, your billing name and address must match that of the credit card used for payment. We reserve the right to cancel any order that does not match these criteria.

How do I cancel or change an order?

We begin processing orders as soon as they are placed, so please contact us ASAP to request a change or a cancellation. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed or cancelled the following business day.

Where's my favorite product?

If an item selected is temporarily out of stock at the time of your order, you will not be able to add the item to your cart. Please contact us to inquire about when the product will be available for purchase.

Why was my order cancelled?

Occasionally, orders or parts of an order are cancelled by our system for various reasons. Reasons for cancellation may include:

  • Item(s) not available.
  • Difficulty in processing payment information.
  • Duplicate order was placed.
  • Cannot ship to the address provided.
  • Shipping address is a reshipper or mail forwarding service.

If your order is cancelled, you will receive an email notice alerting you to the cancellation. You will not be billed for any cancelled items, however please allow several business days for the refund to process. If you are interested in placing a new order or if you have questions about a cancelled order, please contact us.

Shipping

What is your shipping policy?

Josie Maran Cosmetics accepts orders that are billed and shipped to locations in the United States and Canada. We regret that we are unable to ship to U.S. Territories and other international addresses, and apologize for any inconvenience.

Please note: For orders shipped outside of the U.S. (heads up, Canada) any applicable duties, tariffs or other fees will be the responsibility of the customer. Also, due to COVID-19, orders shipped to Canada may experience longer than expected delays when they enter Canada from the U.S.

What are my shipping options and delivery times?

USPS Flat Rate

For U.S. shipments, this option is free for all orders over $50 and is $4.95 for any orders less than $50. This is the only option available for AK, HI, P.O. boxes, all other U.S. Territories and Canada. Orders may go via First-Class Package or Priority Mail depending on the shipment weight and destination. Tracking is available for all options. Most shipments to the lower 48 and D.C. should arrive within 3-7 business days (after the shipment date), longer for other destinations. Orders to Canada will ship via First-Class Mail International Package.

IMPORTANT NOTE: For orders shipped to Canada, shipping is a flat fee of $30. Any applicable duties, tariffs or other fees will be the responsibility of the customer. Also, due to COVID-19, orders shipped to Canada may experience longer than expected delays when they enter Canada from the U.S.

UPS Ground is available for a flat rate of $7.95 to most addresses in the lower 48 and D.C., except for P.O. boxes. Do you ship to Canada?

Yes, we ship to Canada via USPS. Shipping is a flat fee of $30 per order. Please note, any applicable duties, tariffs or other fees will be the responsibility of the customer. Please note: Due to COVID-19, transit and delivery times may be longer than expected for orders shipped to Canada. Unfortunately, we do not have insights into factors which may cause delays when shipments enter Canada from the U.S.

Returns

What is your return policy?

If you are not satisfied with an item from your online order, you can return it within 30-days of your purchase date. All items must be returned in its original condition (unused and unaltered) and in original packaging. Only items purchased on JosieMaran.com may be accepted for return. Items marked as Final Sale, Good Buys, and Gift Sets are non-refundable.

How do I return something?

We want you to be completely satisfied with your Josie Maran purchase. If you need to return an item, you may send back the unused portion within 30-days of your purchase date, and we will be happy to refund the original method of payment. We offer pre-paid shipping labels for all U.S. returns through our Return Portal. Please note that shipping fees will be deducted at the time of refund.

If you are outside the U.S. (such as Canada), you may return your order using a local carrier to ship the items to us. You should ship your return to the address on your invoice, or contact us for assistance.

What if my products arrive damaged?

If you received product that was damaged during shipment or if your package was damaged in shipment by the carrier, please notify us immediately by sending an email to Customer Service. We ask that you save the box and damaged merchandise and attach a picture of the damaged items, if possible.

How long does it take to process a return?

Refunds typically take up to 10 business days to appear on your statement, once we receive your returned item(s) at our warehouse.

Due to COVID-19, it may take longer than normal to process a refund for your returned item(s). We appreciate your patience during this time.

What about discounted items?

If your item was purchased at a discounted price, a refund will be processed in the amount that was paid for the item. Sorry, we can't apply discounts that are no longer valid on current items. Note: Good Buys, Gift Sets, and items marked as "Final Sale" are non-refundable.

BOGO Return Policy

From time to time, JosieMaran.com will offer special promotions, including different versions of Buy One, Get One (BOGO).  An example might be "Buy One, Get One Free" (typically for a certain product collection or a specific product).

BOGO promotions group 2 units of the same or different items together on an order. When initiating a return for a BOGO item, please include both units from the BOGO promotion.  Note: Both units from the BOGO promotion must be returned together in order to receive a refund.

What is Josie's Rewards?

Josie's Rewards is a free rewards program that allows you to earn points on all your JosieMaran.com and SkinDope.com purchases. Once you sign up for an account, you'll start earning points on all your purchases.* Points can be redeemed for exclusive goodness, discounts, bonus points on your birthday, and way more. *You must be registered for an account on JosieMaran.com and SkinDope.com to earn and redeem points on both websites. Activities that can earn you points and the rewards we offer can change at any time.

How can I join?

Joining is easy! Simply click here to register for an account. By creating an account on JosieMaran.com you are automatically enrolled in the program.

How do I earn points?

There are lots of ways to earn points with Josie's Rewards. You will earn points by making a purchase, writing product reviews, referring friends and providing your birthday. Reference More Ways to Earn Rewards on this page for more details.

How do I redeem my points?

To redeem points, login to your account and click the "Redeem Rewards" button on your Account page. There you will find a list of all the rewards available for you to redeem. Click on the "Redeem" button below your desired reward and follow the detailed instructions.

Can I use my points on SkinDope.com?

If you have enough points to redeem a reward, you can select the reward titled SKIN DOPE to use the points available for a discount on SkinDope.com. You will be notified in a pop-up that the reward can only be used on SkinDope.com. Please contact Customer Service for assistance.

How do I check my point balance?

You can check your point balance on both your Account page and the Josie's Rewards page. You must be logged in to view your rewards and earn rewards on your purchases.

What do the 'approved', 'pending' and 'cancelled' statuses mean?

Approved: These points can be redeemed on rewards immediately.
Pending: These points need to be verified before you can redeem them. This typically applies to purchases and referrals.
Cancelled: These points will not be added to your account. For example, this will happen if you cancel a purchase.

Can I use my points during checkout?

Not directly - you can redeem your points from the Josie's Rewards page for a coupon code code which can be applied during checkout.

Can I earn points on past purchases?

Purchases prior to the program launch on 05/27/2021 are not eligible for points, but all future purchases are!

Can I earn rewards points if I purchase Josie Maran products from another site or a retail store?

At this time, Josie's Rewards is awarding points only for JosieMaran.com purchases.

What happens to my points when I return items?

If you return items, the points associated with the returned item(s) will be deducted from your points total.

Do my points expire?

Points earned through Josie's Rewards do not expire, however we encourage you to redeem your points for savings toward your favorite formulas!

How do I change my password?

Subscription

How does it work?

You can subscribe to your favorite Josie Maran formulas from any product page. Just select the 'Subscribe and Earn' option on the page and select your delivery frequency. We automatically send your subscription items(s) based on your chosen frequency. The service is easy to use and customizable, so you can make changes online whenever you need. You’ll receive 2x reward points for all subscription items and free shipping on your order.

Please note that subscription is currently offered to select formulas and is only available on JosieMaran.com.

When will double reward points reflect on my account?

The 2x points associated with your subscription purchase will be available on your Josie's Rewards account within 14 days of purchase.


NOTE: You must be logged in to you JosieMaran.com account in order to earn and redeem reward points. You can check your point balance when you are logged in on both your Account page and the Josie's Rewards page.

How do I make changes to my subscription order?

Whether you need your formula(s) ASAP or want to skip, it’s easy to adjust your subscription delivery at any time. After your first subscription is placed, you can log into your Josie Maran account to modify your preferences. Go to the 'Manage Subscriptions' section to edit your ship date, frequency, quantity, product preferences and more.

Can I cancel anytime?

You can cancel at any time by going to the 'Manage Subscriptions' section on your account page. Choose the product subscription that you want to cancel and select 'Cancel Subscription'.

Will I get a reminder email before my next shipment?

You will receive an email notification 3 days prior to your subscription order being processed. Once your subscription order is processed, you will receive an order confirmation email followed by tracking information once it ships.


Changes to subscription orders can be made any time within 24 hours of the next scheduled shipment date and you can cancel at any time. If you need help managing your subscription, please contact Customer Service.

When is my card charged?

Your card will charged automatically according to your selected subscription frequency. You always have complete control over your subscription order, and we send an email reminder before each order is charged to your account.


Changes to subscription orders can be made any time within 24 hours of the next scheduled shipment date and you can cancel at any time. If you need help managing your subscription, please contact Customer Service.

How do I make changes to my Subscription account information?

If you have more than one Subscription item and want the items to ship in the same order, simply visit the 'My Subscription' section of your account and change the next order dates to be the same. Also, confirm the orders are going to the same shipping address and have the same billing address and payment method.

Can I use coupon codes or Josie's Rewards discounts toward subscription orders?

Yes! You can apply a coupon code or Josie's Rewards discount to your first subscription order.* When you are ready to checkout, redeem the desired discount using your points from the Josie's Rewards page for a coupon code. Next, apply the coupon code on the checkout page. Please note, only one coupon code can be added to orders and Josie's Rewards points are deducted from your account immediately after a discount is redeemed.


*While you will earn 2x reward points on each subsequent subscription order, points and discounts cannot be applied to future subscription orders as these are processed automatically.

What if I placed my first subscription order with a discount code?

If you used a discount code when you placed your first subscription order, it will only be applied to that first order. All of your subsequent subscription charges will be for the original price of the product.

Afterpay Installments

What is Installments by Afterpay?

Installments by Afterpay is a zero-interest payment method that allows you to buy what you want today, and pay for it in four payments made every 2 weeks without any interest.

How do I use Installments by Afterpay?

Simply shop online and add items to your shopping bag and checkout as normal. At the checkout choose Installments by Afterpay as your payment method. First-time customers will need to register with Afterpay and provide payment details, as usual, and returning customers simply log in to make their purchase. It’s that easy!

Please note that all items in your shopping bag must be eligible for Installments by Afterpay. A minimum purchase amount may apply and you must meet additional eligibility requirements to qualify.

Where can I use Installments by Afterpay?

Installments by Afterpay can only be applied to purchases made on JosieMaran.com.

Can I use Afterpay if I am not a U.S. resident?

Installments by Afterpay is only available to customers with a U.S. billing address within the U.S. and a U.S. mobile phone number. Customers with international billing addresses will not be able to set up an account with Afterpay.

How does the payment schedule work?

All customers are required to make their first payment at the time of purchase, with the remaining three payments deducted every two weeks from your chosen payment method. Ir scheduled pay dates, you may do so through yof you choose to make additional payments before youur Afterpay account.


You can log in to your Afterpay account to view your payment schedule and make a payment before the due date if you choose to do so.

What if I can’t pay an Afterpay installment?

If funds are not available or you otherwise do not make your payment when it is due, late fees may apply. For more information, visit the Afterpay Payment Purchase Agreement.

Can I use Afterpay with my subscription order?

Currently Afterpay cannot be combined with subscription orders. If you have a subscription item in your cart, the Afterpay payment option will be disabled at checkout.

How do I return or exchange an item purchased using Installments by Afterpay?

If you have changed your mind, you can return your Afterpay purchase using our Return Portal by clicking here. Please check that your return meets our Return Policy here.

Afterpay will be notified of your return and will process the appropriate refunds. Please do not return your purchase to Afterpay. If you believe there is fault or concern with your Afterpay purchase payment, please contact Afterpay customer support at info@afterpay.com.

What is the SunBoost ATB™ in the Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47?

SunBoost ATB™ is a unique blend of antioxidants, skin-soothers, and hydrators that work in tandem with natural sunscreens to boost sun protection while conditioning and nourishing the skin. SunBoost ATB allows us to use less of natural sunscreens like titanium dioxide and zinc oxide (which can be heavy on the skin and leave a white cast) while still achieving a high SPF 47, yielding an incredibly lightweight and translucent natural sunscreen formula.<

Are your products gluten free?

The Argan Moisture Stick, the Mini Argan Moisture Stick, and the Argan Color Sticks in Rosey and Petal Pink all contain wheat germ oil. Studies have proven inconclusive as to whether or not wheat germ oil contains gluten, but we believe it's safer to err on the side of caution for those with gluten sensitivity.

What is the percentage of Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide in the Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47?

Titanium Dioxide is 5.1%, Zinc Oxide is 6.4%

How long do your products last? What's the shelf life?

The general shelf life of our products is 12 to 18 months. We’re a naturally based beauty brand and we encourage our customers to use the products promptly once received. We have a very busy production schedule that allows us to maintain a steady supply of the freshest products. Stockpiling is not recommended.

Do you use parabens?

No. We do not use parabens, synthetic fragrances, phthalates, or sulfates in any of our products.

Are you a vegan cosmetics line?

We offer a wide variety of products acceptable to our vegan customers. We are always mindful of our producers and sources, so when we do use non-vegan ingredients such as lanolin, beeswax, or carmine we make sure that they are organic and/or sustainably harvested.

Why do you use synthetics in some of your makeup products?

Over time, we have found that a small number of synthetic ingredients are essential to maintain the performance, color, and stability of a high-end cosmetics line. We strive to be as green and healthy as possible while providing the most gorgeous, wearable, and lasting makeup possible.

Are you an organic cosmetics line?

Josie Maran Cosmetics is a natural line. We do have products that are 100% organic, but not all are formulated in this manner.

We formulate with as many powerful natural and organic ingredients as possible because of the implicit health benefits these ingredients provide you and the planet. Plus, by purchasing natural and organic ingredients we are supporting farmers who value more sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices.

We also use fair trade ingredients (where applicable) to insure that the suppliers are duly compensated for their work.

Skin Dope + Hemp Seed Oil

Do Skin Dope products contain marijuana? Will they get me high?

No and no. Skin Dope products are completely free of THC, the compound of the cannabis plant that produces psychoactive effects (i.e., a high or sense of euphoria).

Is there a difference between hemp seed oil, hemp oil, and hemp extract?

Yes.

Our hemp seed oil is produced from cold-pressed hemp seeds from the hemp plant and does not contain CBD. Hemp seed oil contains a robust profile of protein-rich amino acids and essential omega fatty acids.

Hemp oil can be extracted from various parts of the plant, so not just the seeds. Hemp oil is sometimes a misnomer for hemp seed oil. That is, hemp seed oil may not be the same as hemp oil.

Hemp extract and hemp oil are interchangeable terms. Hemp extract/oil can contain no CBD, or it can be rich in CBD. Note our hemp seed oil does not contain CBD.

What can amino acids do for my skin?

Amino acids are essential for strong healthy skin that can stand up to environmental stressors. Proteins from amino acids strengthen the look of skin - think of them like skin's cement and building blocks.

Where do we source our hemp seed oil?

Our hemp seed oil is sustainably sourced from France. It is 100% organic, cold-pressed, and unrefined.

What is hemp seed oil?

Hemp seed oil is an amino acid-rich oil extract from the seeds of the hemp plant (also known as the cannabis sativa plant).

Can I ingest Skin Dope products?

We created Skin Dope Hemp Seed Oil to be used as a topical skincare product. We do not recommend ingesting it, but feel free to slather it all over your skin from head to toe.
